[WTF?]Defrag[DW] - Oblivion_b2.bsp **********THIS MAP IS NOT THE FINISHED PRODUCT! **** This map designed for the TeamFortress Classic Half-Life mod **** 20/03/2001 ================================================================ Title : Oblivion beta 2 Filename : oblivion_b2 Author : Mark Simpson (Defrag) Email Address : general_george_oj@yahoo.com Description : TeamFortress Classic CTF map Number of Teams : 2 Recommended # of Players: 16-18 ================================================================ New Textures : none New Sounds : none Editor used : Worldcraft 3.3 ================================================================ INSTALL INFORMATION: Unzip the bsp and text file to the tfc/maps directory FIXES / NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST BETA: ================================================================ -Fixed crash bug -Clipping implemented in various places, including ramp room + and now the tunnel from RR to security. -New vox messages added for various things. -Respawns now have trigger hurts so now messing about with miniturrets :P -texturing tweaks in many areas -sounds added for ambience (comments?) -some brush errors edited out -lighting dulled down at red balc - gave me a headache :P -Stretched a few textures here n there for better r_speeds -Tweaked spawn messages and postions ================================================================ PLAY INFORMATION: Security Cap the flag map. Disable the enemy flag lasers in the attic area (accessible by concing/RJ up from flag room, or from RR upper passage) then grab the flag and run like a drunken chimp who's just assaulted a policeman. Lasers stay down for 90 seconds, then the switch reactivates 10 seconds after that. Meds scouts and spies spawn on the balc for faster attacks, other classes spawn mainly in the other respawn. Attacker's respawn has a grenade supply, the defenders doesn't because i hate defenders that spam nail grenades and then go stock up on grens every 20 seconds :P The respawns also have the actually ressuply area back a bit, so people cant defend with the door open like on monkey etc. I hate respawn hugging, lets see how your D does without a ressuply 2 feet away ;D ================================================================ FUTURE MODS: R_speeds are fine everywhere. Maybe tweak the outside yet, i still like it as it is but many seem to think it's too bare. I'll see what i can do. Have to test for telefrags at map start. I will consider adding a small ressuply bag to the attic/flag room if things are too tough on D, but i have a feeling this map could provide some pretty decent matchplay due to the interesting flag room location.
